- There are various steps in the post-exposure evaluation process including but not limited to proper identification and documentation, counseling, lab collection recommendations by the CDC, and post-exposure prophylaxis.
- There are various expectations for occupational exposure from performing first aid duties. If an employee's job responsibilities include being required to be CPR trained in the event they administer CPR as a collateral job duty; those employees are covered by the standard.
- Any employee, as stated above that is CPR trained as part of their job responsibility in the event they have to administer CPR as a collateral job duty are covered by the standard. Any employee that performs CPR as a Good Samaritan, will not be covered by the standard.
