Objectives
After completion of this module, the learner will be able to:
- Define the term virus.
- Describe human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome(AIDS), their relation and modes of transmission.
- Describe the various forms of hepatitis, associated modes of transmission and complications.
- Identify other blood borne pathogens as outlined by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the North Carolina Department of Labor (NCDOL).
